    i) There are 2 COBOL files called WAGE-FILE and PRINT-FILE. WAGE-FILE is assigned to disk and PRINT-FILE is assigned to printer. Their structures are as follows:

      Write PROCEDURE DIVISION statements to open WAGE FILE in input mode and PRINT-FILE in output mode and then read records from WAGE-FILE one by one and compute wage in PR-4 for every record and copy worker name to PR-2 and blank spaces to other fields of PRINT-REC, and then print this record after leaving one blank line till the end of file is reached. When end of file is reached then close these files and stop the program.  
    ii) There is a COBOL file called STUD-FILE whose record is STUD-REC contains data items name (S-NAME), marks in three tests (TES - 1, TES - 2, TES - 3). Write PROCEDURE DIVISION statements to open this file and read one record at a time and then calculate average marks, where average is computed as average of highest scoring two tests. After this display name and average marks. When end of file reached then close the file and stop the program.  
         
  b) Answer any one of the following in LOTUS 1-2-3: 7
    i) You are given the following information:

Q. 8. a) There is dBASE file called PAY containing fields employee number (EN, Numeric, 4), name (ENAME, Character, 20), Basic pay (BPAY, Numeric, 8, 2), Designation (DESGN, Character, 15), Department (DEPT, Character, 10). Write a program asking the user to enter name and then the program must find whether this record is found in the file or not. When it is found in the file then display details of this record on the screen. Otherwise program should allow the user to add this as a new record. 10
         
  b) Give any three commands from MAIN MENU in WORD-STAR and explain their uses. 4
         
  c) Write commands in WORDSTAR for the following: 4
    i) To delete a file.  
    ii) To move the cursor to the previous line.

Q. 9. a) There is a dBASE file called BANK containing fields account number (ACNO, Numeric, 5), Customer name (CNAME, Character, 20). Balance in account (BALANCE, Numeric, 12, 2). Write commands for the following:  
    i) To display screen by screen, customer name and balance whenever balance is between Rs. 5000 and Rs. 6000 both inclusive.  
    ii) To sort this file in the descending order of balance to another file called DBAL.  
    iii) To make changes in balance by decreasing it by Rs. 32000 where account number is 2121.  
    iv) To position the record pointer against the first record where customer name is "HASAN".  
    v) To find the total number of records where balance is Rs. 500.  
    vi) To display all the records where customer name contain letters "IN".  
         
  b) Explain the use of the following in dBASE: 5
    i) INDEX ON  
    ii) REPLICATE  
    iii) DO WHILE ENDDO

  c) What is the use of DOT commands in WORDSTAR? Mention any 3 dot commands. 4
         
  d) Currently you are editing a WORDSTAR document file called MATH. Here you want to print the following equationZ1 = X4 + Y4How to achieve this. 3
         
Q.10.   Answer in dBASE (Any one): 14
  a) There is a file called STUDENT DBF containing fields Roll number (RN, Numeric, 5), Name (SNAME, Character, 20) and marks in four subjects (M1, M2, M3, M4, all numeric, 3, 0). Write a program to request the user to enter roll number and then this program should search whether this roll number is found in this file or not. If the roll number is found, then display name, and marks in 4 subjects. After this request the user whether he wants to delete this record if so, the record must be deleted, if not, display that "THE RECORD IS NOT DELETED". If the roll number is not found then display that "RECORD NOT FOUND". This program must allow the user to continue if required.  
  b) There is a file called ADD, DBF. This file contains fields first name (FNAME, Character, 20), middle name (MNAME, Character, 20) and last name (LNAME, Character, 20), building address (BADD, Character, 30), street address (STRADD, Character, 30), city (CITY, Character, 20). Write a dBASE program to request the user to enter name of a city and then the program should print all the address labels from this city showing first, middle and last name together in one line and other part in subsequent lines in the alphabetical order of first name, whenever atleast one address is found in the file otherwise display "ADDRESS NOT FOUND". This program must allow the user to continue if required.
